We are seeking an experienced and motivated Property Valuer to join our thriving estate agency team in York. In this role, you will be the face of our business, meeting potential vendors to provide accurate market appraisals. You will use your deep knowledge of the York property market to win new instructions, build strong client relationships, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Appraisals: Conduct accurate valuations of residential properties across York and surrounding villages.
- Instruction Winning: Present marketing strategies confidently to convert valuation appointments into formal instructions.
- Market Research: Analyse local property trends, recent sales data, and land registry records to justify pricing.
- Client Relationship Management: Provide expert, honest advice to vendors, managing their expectations from initial meeting to listing.
- Business Development: Identify cross-selling opportunities for financial services, surveys, conveyancing, and lettings.
- Compliance: Ensure all listings comply with consumer protection regulations and anti-money laundering (AML) legislation.
- Brand Representation: Act as the professional face of the country's leading property network.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Local Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of experience valuing residential property.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting conversion targets and winning instructions.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Driving Licence: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
- Professional Standards: High level of commercial awareness, resilience, and a customer-centric mindset. RICS qualification is a bonus but not mandatory.
