Applications are invited from candidates who are suitably experienced in reception duties to join our Urgent Treatment Centre at North Tyneside General Hospital. You will provide an efficient administration and clerical service to staff, visitors, and patients attending the Urgent Treatment Centre. The post holder must be able to use their own initiative, work under pressure, and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. You should have strong keyboard skills and a knowledge of IT packages and their applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a reception service, acting as the first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide an efficient administration and clerical service to unit staff, visitors, and patients for emergency attenders, soft tissue, and associated out-patient clinics.
  • Facilitate good communication with other wards and departments involved in patient care or ward/departmental functioning.
