Job Purpose
When engineering maintenance is required on a section of track, a possession is taken to close the line to normal traffic providing protection for the workers. As a Possession Support worker, you will carry out duties under direction to assist the safe and efficient delivery of access to the railway infrastructure for engineering maintenance. You will use the necessary equipment and comply with the plans provided for delivering the safe access arrangements. Please note the majority of work will be during the night and you will be working alone.
Duties
- To assist in implementing arrangements
- Support the movement of Engineering Trains
- Comply with all relevant legislation and railway rules
- Clearly communicate with the relevant individuals
- Follow industry and company reporting procedures
- Accurately complete the relevant documentation
