A specialist renewables division within a national group of electrical distribution businesses is looking for a bright and commercially minded graduate to join its team in Trafford Park. The business supplies a broad range of renewable energy technologies to trade customers across the UK, including solar PV, battery storage, inverters and EV charging equipment. Working with suppliers and manufacturers across the UK, Europe and Asia, the commercial team plays an important role in sourcing products, managing stock and supporting the continued growth of the business.
The Role
As a Graduate Commercial Trainee, you'll play a key role in supporting the Commercial Manager with the day-to-day management of supplier relationships and product purchasing. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers in the UK and internationally
- Supporting procurement and purchasing activities
- Monitoring inventory levels and helping to optimise stock availability
- Analysing sales and purchasing data using Excel to identify trends and opportunities
- Assisting with commercial reporting and supplier performance analysis
- Working closely with internal sales and operations teams to ensure products are available when customers need them
