A market-leading security systems distributor is looking for a Technical Product Engineer to join their successful team in Ashton Under Lyne. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically-minded individual who is passionate about electronics, computing and networking, and is looking to develop their career within electronic security. You’ll be working on the company’s in-house electronic security brand that offers a wide-ranging portfolio of CCTV and security solutions. This role provides exposure to a diverse product range and the chance to work closely with experienced engineers, product developers and key partners across the business.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage and support a wide range of CCTV and electronic security products, including IP, analogue, software, app-based and mechanical technologies.
- Carry out product evaluation, testing and validation, ensuring performance meets specifications and third-party compatibility requirements.
- Identify technical issues, investigate root causes and contribute to effective solutions.
- Provide structured feedback to support product development and continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, guides and supporting media for customers and internal teams.
- Track product changes, versions and activity accurately.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and other internal teams to share knowledge, gather feedback and support new feature requirements.

- A starting salary between £32,500 – £42,500 (depending on experience).
