A market-leading and highly respected UK electrical distribution group is looking for a talented and driven Lighting Design Engineer to join their Central Region team in Warwick. You will be joining a business with a nationwide network of over 250 branches and a proud history dating back more than 200 years. The Opportunity
- Produce detailed internal and external lighting designs using specialist software such as DIALux, Relux and AutoCAD.
- Deliver compliant solutions across a wide range of projects including highways, infrastructure, commercial and industrial schemes.
- Ensure all designs meet relevant UK and European standards, including DMRB where applicable.
- Prepare full technical documentation including drawings, specifications and schedules.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, architects and internal sales teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Conduct site surveys and provide technical advice to ensure buildable, practical solutions.
- Provide technical support and contribute to the development of junior team members.
This is a varied role offering a mix of office-based design work, site visits and hybrid working flexibility.

Requirements
- At least 2 years’ lighting design experience (sales exposure is advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of lighting design software (DIALux, Relux, AutoCAD).
- A solid understanding of electrical design principles and lighting control systems (e.g. DALI, DMX).
- Experience working to relevant standards and energy efficiency requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- A qualification in an electrical or building services discipline is preferred. Membership of a professional body such as the Institute of Lighting Professionals would be advantageous.
