About the Role

As a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer, you will support the delivery of technically challenging contaminated land and ground investigation projects. The role offers exposure to a wide range of developments including major urban regeneration schemes, infrastructure projects and brownfield redevelopment sites. You will play an important role in project delivery, technical reporting, mentoring junior staff and supporting client relationships while working within a collaborative and technically focused team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of contaminated land assessments, site investigations and remediation projects.
  • Plan and manage ground investigations including supervision of site works, contractors and monitoring activities.
  • Prepare and review Phase I, Phase II and remediation strategy reports.
  • Deliver technically robust interpretive reports including human health and controlled waters risk assessments.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to a high technical standard.

Technical Expertise & Analysis

  • Interpret environmental, geological and geotechnical data from site investigations.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals and supporting documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance on contaminated land, remediation strategies and ground risk management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK guidance and legislation relating to contaminated land and environmental assessment.

Client & Project Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
  • Attend client meetings and site visits to provide technical input and updates.
  • Manage project programmes and contribute to maintaining strong client relationships.

Team Support & Mentoring

  • Provide day-to-day technical support and mentoring to graduate and consultant-level staff.
  • Assist with reviewing technical work produced by junior team members.
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Prepare and review risk assessments and method statements for site works.
  • Promote safe working practices across all site activities.

Commercial & Project Support

  • Support project planning including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure work is delivered within agreed scope and timescales.
  • Assist with project administration and invoicing processes where required.
