About the Role
We are currently looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer required for a thriving company, based in the vibrant city of Cambridge. In this permanent role, you\’ll be a key player in the geotechnical engineering division, working on a diverse range of site investigation projects across East Anglia, the south of England, and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a talented team of engineers on ground investigation projects
- Utilize your strong technical skills to provide comprehensive geotechnical assessments
- Contribute to the growth and success of our clients Cambridge office
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant subject, with a master\’s degree preferred
- Chartered geologist or working towards chartership
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in geotechnical site investigation
Required Skills
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software, such as PLAXIS
- Extensive experience in conducting routine geotechnical assessments, including foundation recommendations, ground improvement and earthworks methods, slope stability, and settlement modeling
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of collaborating with colleagues and supervising junior engineers
- Ability to provide well-written technical reports and advice on geotechnical engineering aspects
- Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices
