An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Structural Revit Technician to join a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in West Yorkshire. You will work closely with structural engineers and wider project teams to produce high-quality BIM models, technical drawings and coordinated design information across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and development projects. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of model and drawing packages, develop your Revit and digital engineering expertise and progress towards a Senior Technician or BIM Coordinator position.

As Structural Revit Technician, you will support the delivery of structural engineering design solutions through the production of accurate 3D models, drawings, schedules and technical details. You will interpret engineering sketches, calculations and specifications, translating them into coordinated structural models that meet project requirements, internal BIM standards and relevant industry guidance. You will also contribute to model coordination reviews, clash detection, document control and the continued improvement of BIM standards and digital workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain coordinated 3D structural models using Autodesk Revit
- Produce accurate 2D drawings, schedules and construction details from BIM models
- Interpret structural calculations, sketches and specifications
- Model structural elements including reinforced concrete, steelwork, foundations and building structures
- Ensure models follow internal BIM standards, naming conventions and project requirements
- Maintain awareness of BIM Level 2 and ISO 19650 workflows
- Manage revisions and model updates in line with document control procedures
- Work closely with structural engineers and wider multidisciplinary design teams
- Participate in model coordination meetings, design workshops and clash detection reviews
- Liaise with architects, contractors and external consultants where required
- Communicate technical and coordination matters clearly to project teams
- Support engineers in resolving design, detailing and coordination issues
- Take ownership of model and drawing packages for assigned projects
- Deliver technical outputs to agreed scope, programme and quality standards
- Take the lead on suitable projects as experience develops
- Attend site visits and inspections where required
- Consider buildability, health and safety and sustainability within design outputs
- Identify opportunities to improve modelling efficiency, quality and project delivery
- Support junior technicians and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team
- Continue developing Revit, BIM and digital engineering capability
- Contribute to the improvement of company modelling standards and workflows
- Maintain continuous professional development in structural detailing and digital engineering
- Work towards Technician Membership with the IStructE or ICE
We are looking for a proactive and quality-focused Structural Revit Technician with strong modelling capability and experience working within a structural engineering or BIM environment. You will be organised, reliable and confident working both independently and collaboratively, with the ability to manage drawing packages and deliver accurate technical information to project deadlines.
Essential Requirements- Approximately 2-5 years' experience within a structural technician or BIM role
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant construction or engineering discipline
- Strong proficiency using Autodesk Revit Structures
- Experience producing structural models and drawings for steel, reinforced concrete and foundations
- Understanding of structural engineering principles and detailing practices
- Familiarity with BIM standards and common data environments
- Strong attention to detail and document control
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM Level 2 processes
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience using clash detection and model coordination tools
- Previous responsibility for complete model or drawing packages
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior technicians
- Interest in progressing towards Senior Technician or BIM Coordinator responsibilities
- Working towards ICE or IStructE professional membership
