An opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineer with circa 5 years' experience to join a growing technical team. This role will suit someone confident in both site-based supervision and office-based interpretation, looking to take ownership of projects and build stronger client-facing responsibility. You will be involved in managing and interpreting ground investigations, producing technical reports and supporting foundation and earthworks recommendations across a varied project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Planning, supervising and managing ground investigations
- Logging soils and rock to current UK standards
- Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
- Undertaking geotechnical assessments and foundation recommendations
- Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators
- Managing elements of project delivery, including budgets and timelines
- Supporting junior engineers and contributing to team development
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' consultancy experience
- Strong understanding of UK ground investigation practice and reporting standards
- Experience interpreting geotechnical data and making design recommendations
- Confident communicator with client-facing experience
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Working toward (or keen to work toward) professional chartership
