This role will suit someone confident in both site-based supervision and office-based interpretation, looking to take ownership of projects and build stronger client-facing responsibility. You will be involved in managing and interpreting ground investigations, producing technical reports and supporting foundation and earthworks recommendations across a varied project portfolio.Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, supervising and managing ground investigations
  • Logging soils and rock to current UK standards
  • Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
  • Undertaking geotechnical assessments and foundation recommendations
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators
  • Managing elements of project delivery, including budgets and timelines
  • Supporting junior engineers and contributing to team development

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' consultancy experience
  • Strong understanding of UK ground investigation practice and reporting standards
  • Experience interpreting geotechnical data and making design recommendations
  • Confident communicator with client-facing experience
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Working toward (or keen to work toward) professional chartership
