Become our next Contracts Manager and lead the delivery of ground investigation projects across our busy regional office in Glasgow. This is a key leadership role where you'll take ownership of operational performance, project delivery, and team development. You'll play an important part in shaping a positive, high-performing culture while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards. This is an opportunity to balance people leadership, commercial awareness, and hands-on project oversight, while taking pride in delivering quality outcomes for both clients and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Proven experience in ground investigation, contract management, and recruitment
  • Expertise in site investigation, drilling, rotary drilling, and producing factual and interpretive reports
  • Strong geotechnical knowledge and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound commercial decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to championing a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in a similar role
  • SMSTS certification

Required Skills

  • Proven contracts management experience within ground investigation or a related field
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing project and engineering teams
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects from planning through to delivery
  • Strong commercial awareness, including cost control, forecasting and profitability
  • Confident communicator with strong client and stakeholder management skills
  • Good understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Ability to manage resources, resolve challenges and support day-to-day operations
  • Coaching, mentoring and team development experience
  • Solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
