Our client one of the UK\’s leading private Engineering Consultancies, is seeking an experienced Chartered Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Glasgow office. As a Chartered Engineer (MICE or MIStructE) with around 2 years of post-Chartered experience, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of public and private projects, leaving a positive impact on our communities and society.

– Collaborate with a talented team of designers and CAD technicians to deliver innovative solutions
– Forge strong relationships with clients and senior staff, driving the growth and success of the business
– Contribute to the technical development and supervision of your engineering colleagues
Preferred Requirements:
  • Prepare bridge design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and other project documentation in line with company, client, and industry standards
  • Utilize specialist bridge analysis software, such as MIDAS, LUSAS, and Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, to undertake complex bridge modelling
  • Lead the resolution of technical issues and assist with the preparation of project-related documentation
  • Design in 3D modelling environments, including Revit and Civil 3D
  • Attend design meetings and site inspections, fostering strong client relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in civil engineering
  • Chartered professional status (MICE or MIStructE)
  • Substantial structural design experience within the bridges sector and in a consultancy environment, with a preference for previous site experience
