We are looking for a Junior Supply Planning Analyst (Undergraduate Placement) to join the NOR Supply Planning Team. This is a regional role, based in Warwick. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to grow your business skills by working in a dynamic supply planning team within a global organisation. Please note we can only accept applications from undergraduates who are looking for a Sandwich Year Placement.
Responsibilities:
- Support Supply Planning Manager in ensuring optimal supply of finished goods to customers through collaborating with sales, customer service, logistics and central supply chain team; with the purpose of assisting the business achieve the top line while maintaining a healthy bottom line.
- Work closely with logistics and central planning teams to ensure the proper replenishment of regional DCs.
- Proactively identify dormant stocks and take necessary actions to limit risk.
- Gain a strong market and customer knowledge of the North Consumer & Commercial Markets – UK & Ireland.
- Lead a new NOR initiative reviewing market data on a regular basis and understanding what is behind our and the market performance (Europool), implement findings to widen our market presence.
- Keep up to date with automotive and economic trends that can affect the tyre industry.
- Attend customer visits to get first-hand market information.
- Work collaboratively across the business, learning systems and processes, and propose improvements.
Requirements:
- Desired degree in Supply Chain or a Business related degree - Second year student only.
- Numerical skills with a determination for accuracy.
- Analytical skills to interrogate data and identify patterns and trends.
- Ability to present in depth data findings to various audiences drawing out key information.
- IT skills – experience with Microsoft 365 products, primarily Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint and ability to learn new systems.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work and be effective under pressure.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Strong interpersonal skills – an excellent team player.
- Good communication skills.
- A proactive approach to work always seeking improvements to processes and challenging the norm.
