Bridgestone Group are pleased to be working with a leading manufacturer based in South Wales who are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will lead maintenance activities, drive continuous improvement, and act as the primary escalation point for technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance activities and ensure asset health
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimise downtime
- Contribute to process optimisation and proactive maintenance routines
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to integrate predictive maintenance insights
- Troubleshoot complex engineering issues and lead root cause analysis
- Promote compliance with QHSE policies and standards
- Coach and mentor technicians to build a proactive maintenance culture
