Bridgestaff Group are recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join a growing specialist contractor operating within the UK construction sector.
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing multiple live projects nationwide.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operational delivery, maintaining client relationships, leading site teams, conducting surveys, preparing quotations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
The position offers a mixture of site-based and office-based work and would suit an individual with a strong construction background who has experience managing teams and delivering projects across multiple locations.
The Role
This is a national position with projects located across the UK. Travel is an essential part of the role, and accommodation will be arranged when overnight stays are required.
Working patterns will vary depending on project demands.
Typically, this will involve a combination of site visits and office-based work, although some weeks may be heavily site-focused while others may involve surveys, planning and client meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise operational teams across multiple construction sites throughout the UK
- Plan, coordinate and monitor works to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Liaise with clients, principal contractors and site management teams
- Conduct site surveys, inspections and audits using digital reporting systems
- Prepare accurate quotations, tenders and work specifications
- Coordinate labour, plant hire, equipment and resources
- Monitor productivity, performance and quality standards across multiple sites
- Provide leadership, coaching and support to site teams
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures
- Support business growth through strong project delivery and client engagement
