We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent to oversee the demolition and rebuild of a bridge on a major infrastructure project in Oxford. This is a key site-based role, responsible for day-to-day management of works, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Agents, and engineering teams, taking ownership of a defined section of works throughout this 8-month project.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of site activities related to bridge demolition and reconstruction
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and plant
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Implementing and monitoring RAMS and method statements
- Liaising with engineers to manage technical queries and temporary works
- Ensuring quality assurance and record keeping is maintained
- Supporting programme updates and reporting progress to senior management
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sub Agent on highways or bridge projects
- Strong background in concrete, demolition, and structural works
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
- Temporary Works knowledge / Coordinator experience (advantageous)
- Ability to lead site teams and manage multiple work fronts
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Package
- £450–£475 per day depending on experience
