Plant Maintenance Fitter Newport £14.82 per hour Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm Temp to Perm Opportunity Bridge Staff Group are recruiting for a Plant Maintenance Fitter to join a busy fleet and transport workshop in Newport.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical fitter, plant fitter, agricultural engineer or vehicle technician looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with competitive pay and long-term prospects.
The role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of plant, agricultural machinery and powered equipment.
Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.
Conduct safety inspections in line with maintenance schedules and legislation.
Diagnose faults and identify effective repair solutions.
Complete service reports and maintenance records accurately.
Assist with breakdown response and emergency repairs.
Monitor parts and stock levels within the workshop.
Support workshop health and safety requirements.
Liaise with suppliers regarding technical issues and warranty claims.
Undertake welding and fabrication duties where trained and competent.
What We're Looking For Previous experience within plant maintenance, agricultural engineering, vehicle maintenance or a similar mechanical role.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in vehicle or equipment maintenance preferred.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience working on mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, petrol or electrical systems.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Full UK driving licence desirable.
