Bridgestone Group are partnering with an established construction and engineering organisation seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support the safe and compliant delivery of construction projects across South Wales. The EHS Manager will play a key role in implementing health, safety and environmental standards on live sites, working closely with project and site teams to ensure legislative compliance, robust risk management, and a positive safety culture across all operations. This is a hands-on position suited to a proactive EHS professional with strong construction experience and the confidence to influence at all levels.

Key Duties:
  • Ensure all projects operate in a safe, compliant, and well-controlled manner at all times.
  • Implement and monitor the company’s EHS policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Carry out regular site inspections and audits, producing clear reports and tracking actions through to close-out.
  • Provide EHS support and guidance to Project Managers, Site Managers, and supervisors.
  • Review and approve risk assessments, method statements, construction phase plans, and permits to work.
  • Support and lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring timely and robust reporting.
  • Deliver and oversee site inductions for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
  • Ensure welfare facilities, signage, and statutory notices are in place and maintained.
  • Monitor COSHH controls and environmental arrangements on site.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership, communication and engagement.
  • Challenge unsafe behaviours and intervene where standards are not met.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum).
  • Proven experience working on UK construction sites.
  • Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation (CDM Regulations desirable).
  • Experience reviewing RAMS, permits to work, and site safety documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel across sites in the UK.
