Bridgestaff Group are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a growing and ambitious business based in Caerphilly for an experienced Hire Desk Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, organised and commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships. The successful candidate will join a close-knit team and play a key role in the continued development and success of the hire desk function. We are looking for someone who can genuinely make the role their own, bringing new ideas, a proactive approach and the confidence to contribute to the ongoing growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing customer enquiries via telephone and email
  • Preparing quotations, processing hire orders and coordinating contracts
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Identifying sales opportunities and maximising hire revenue
  • Coordinating deliveries, collections and exchanges with operational teams
  • Managing multiple priorities and ensuring excellent service levels
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
  • Supporting fleet utilisation and resource planning
  • Working closely with internal departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Assisting with business growth through excellent customer service and commercial awareness

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Hire Desk Controller, Hire Coordinator or similar role
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to sales opportunities
  • Self-motivated, driven and capable of working independently
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the growth of the business

The Opportunity

This role offers far more than a traditional hire desk position. Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8:30am - 3:30pm
