We are working in partnership with a leading international engineering and construction specialist to recruit an experienced EHS Advisor to support a strong pipeline of projects across South Wales. Our client delivers high-quality design and build solutions across a range of sectors including Food, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, Data Centres, and Advanced Manufacturing. Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of health and safety policies across live construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and company standards.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and reporting, providing feedback to senior project stakeholders.
- Track and ensure close-out of actions identified in safety reports within agreed timescales.
- Support and guide site teams, promoting a strong safety culture across all levels.
- Assist with accident investigations and ensure timely and thorough reporting.
- Oversee site inductions for operatives and subcontractors.
- Ensure welfare facilities, site setups, and statutory notices meet required standards.
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Monitor permits to work and safe handling/storage of COSHH materials.
- Previous experience working within a construction environment in an EHS-focused role.
- Relevant EHS qualification (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of current health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Well-organised with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments.
