Bridgestone Group are seeking a skilled and reliable Workshop Technician to join a busy and well-established workshop operation. You will play a key role in maintaining and repairing a fleet of light commercial vehicles, with additional exposure to plant and agricultural machinery. The role suits someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork.
Key Duties
- Service, inspect, diagnose and repair LCVs and light commercial vehicles in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
- Carry out mechanical and electrical diagnostics and complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain accurate job cards, service records and compliance documentation.
- Support repairs and maintenance on plant and agricultural machinery as required.
- Conduct annual thorough inspections, with an appreciation of industry regulations and provisions.
- Provide prompt and reliable on-site breakdown support across Wales and into England when required.
- Maintain a safe, tidy and efficient workshop environment.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, in line with health & safety guidelines, company procedures and agreed timeframes.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider workshop and site support team.
Skills & Experience Required
- Level 3 Light Vehicle qualification or equivalent (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI) Essential: Proven experience as a mechanic or technician within construction plant maintenance or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems; knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems would be advantageous.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload and time effectively.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
