Bridgestone Group are currently recruiting on behalf of a well‑established and growing civil engineering contractor, delivering projects across residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of groundwork packages. This role is open to both experienced Groundworks QSs and Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyors seeking long‑term development within a specialist contractor environment.
The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with site and commercial teams, and support the full commercial lifecycle of groundworks projects, from pre‑start through to final account.
Key Duties- Commercial management of groundworks packages
- Measurement, valuations and cost control on site
- Preparation and submission of interim valuations
- Managing variations and change control
- Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
- Assisting with monthly CVRs and commercial reporting
- Supporting final accounts and project close‑out
- Working closely with site managers, engineers and clients
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (or working towards)
- Understanding of construction or groundworks environments
- Strong numeracy, organisation and commercial awareness
- Confident communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
