Bridgestaff Group are partnering with a growing and forward-thinking organisation in the waste management sector who are looking to bring in an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join their operation. The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you'll play a key role in delivering efficient waste and recycling services, ensuring customers receive a reliable and professional experience every time. Operating from sites in Barry and Cardiff, with roles primarily based in Barry (flexibility available where needed).
- Driving a range of vehicles including Curtainsiders, Hooklift Trailers, Tankers and Bulk Tippers
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Ensuring full compliance with transport legislation, tachograph, and working time regulations
- Completing all relevant paperwork accurately
- Working closely with the transport team to maintain service levels and efficiency
- Representing the business in a professional, customer-focused way
This is predominantly a Monday to Friday role, with occasional Saturdays. Start times: Typically around 5am (flexibility required).
What we're looking for
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence (minimum 2 years' experience)
- Driver CPC and valid digital tachograph card
- ADR licence (or willingness to obtain – highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of transport legislation and compliance
- Good geographical knowledge of the local area
