Role Purpose
Covering the Thames Valley area for Thames Water, this role is responsible for modifying control panels and telemetry equipment at various sites. Duties include telemetry outstation replacements and multi‑smart system installations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a company van for site visits.
- Complete electrical installations in accordance with BS7671, Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
- Ensure all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with project quality and inspection plans.
- Follow and promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and stop work if unsafe conditions arise.
- Represent Bridges values in interactions with peers, staff, customers and clients.
- Coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.
Requirements – Essential
- ECS Gold Card.
- Experience with telemetry outstation replacements or MultiSmart systems.
- Panel wiring / modifications experience.
- Experience within industrial (ideally water) industries.
- Fitness‑to‑work medical.
- Positive attitude towards Health & Safety best practice.
- Full UK driving licence.
Requirements – Desirable
- PASMA / IPAF / Confined space qualifications.
- EUSR & Thames Water Passport.
- Inspection and testing certificate.
- Emergency first aid or active first‑aider.
- CCNSG (or similar).
- CompEx qualification.
