Bridges will be hiring Commissioning Engineers for our projects through AMP8
These roles will be permanent and full-time.
Please note that we may not have capacity to take on additional team members straight away, pending workload increases as we move further into AMP8.
Role Purpose
The Role Purpose is to support the installation teams with planned and reactive fault diagnoses, basic commissioning, panel modification and technical queries at site level.
The role communicates with various departments within the business and liaises with customers.
It offers varied exposure to different areas of the water industry, providing a challenging environment on a day-to-day basis.
Role
Contracted to 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Paid hourly, with overtime paid.
Overtime during the weekends paid at an inflated rate.
Travel time door to door is paid on top of contracted and overtime hours.
- Company van provided
- All power tools and testing instruments provided
- Assist with and carry out all types of low voltage electrical work
- Reasonable understanding of mechanical systems
- NICEIC testing
- Fault finding/diagnostics without drawings and support
- Panel / circuit modifications without drawings and support
- Commissioning of various equipment relevant to the water industry
- Work with systems integrator with commissioning and modifications
- Navigate HMI/SCADA systems
- Prepare RAMS, ensuring safe working conditions
Requirements
- Required
- ECS card
- CCNSS safety passport
- Fitness to work medical
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Willingness to learn and undertake occupational and health and safety training
- Prepared to take responsibility for self and others
- Able to work on own initiative and ability to give and take instruction
- Testing and inspection certificate
Desirable
- EUSR
- Knowledge of Ethernet & industrial networks (e. g., Profibus, Device Net, VSD, soft start, star/delta, DOL starters PLC & HMI/SCADA – programming not required)
