As part of our Apprentice intake for 2026, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Apprentice to work within our Delivery teams. The following opportunities are available in the following regions: 1 x Wales, 2 x South West, 3 x Southern. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the engineering industry.

The Role

As an Apprentice, you will work alongside a team of experienced engineers, assisting in mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance across various client sites. You will receive on‑the‑job training and support to develop your skills and knowledge in mechanical engineering. The role is field‑based, contracted to 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, paid hourly with overtime paid, and you will be compensated for travel time door to door.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance
  • Learning how to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Following health and safety procedures and wearing personal protective equipment
  • Communicating effectively with team members and clients
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area

We do not yet have a training provider for this role; one will be sourced once a candidate is employed. The training provider will depend on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Strong interest in Mechanical engineering
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • GCSEs in Maths, English and Science (grade 4/C or higher)
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required for site visits

Desirable:

  • Previous work experience or education related to engineering
  • Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in mechanical work
