As a Junior Systems Integration Engineer at Bridges, you will work alongside experienced engineers to deliver high-quality control and automation solutions for the water industry. You will play a key role in supporting the team with documentation, testing, and system integration activities, developing your skills through hands-on project work and structured mentoring. This role is designed around a two-year development plan, giving you the opportunity to build strong foundations in PLC/SCADA engineering, project delivery, and professional behaviours within a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Support: Assist in producing, reviewing, and maintaining technical documentation such as IO schedules, control philosophies, and functional design specifications.
- Support PLC and SCADA software configuration, testing, and commissioning under supervision.
- Participate in system builds, FATs, and site testing alongside senior engineers.
- Help maintain organised project files, drawings, and version control records in line with Bridges standards.
Learning & Development
- Follow a structured 24-month development plan designed to build technical competence and confidence.
- Engage proactively in mentoring sessions and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Work with senior engineers to identify and complete vendor training (e.g. Schneider, Rockwell, Siemens).
- Develop professional communication and reporting skills through direct project involvement and client exposure.
Team Contribution
- Collaborate with colleagues across engineering, panel build, and commissioning teams.
