A working supervisor role, to oversee and manage a team of electricians on several frameworks to be completed across the Thames Valley region for Thames Water.
The Role
- Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with all overtime paid. Overtime during the weekends paid at inflated rate.
- To be responsible for supervising electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
- Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans.
- To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise.
- To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices.
- Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients.
- Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst their peer.
- To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation.
Requirements
- ECS Gold Card (essential)
- SSSTS or SMSTS (essential)
- Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification where appropriate
- Experience within the water/waste water industry
- Experience Supervising a small team on installations
- Emergency first aid or First Aider
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Prepared to take responsibility for self and others
- Full UK driving license
- Fit to work medical.

- CCNSG and EUSR
- Inspection and testing certificate
- Ability to write simple risk assessments
