We are currently recruiting a Proposals Engineer whose main purpose will be to review tender documentation including drawings, schedules and specifications to prepare estimates in line with client requirements, based from our Midsomer Norton or Maidstone office.

Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

This is a full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday, 40 hrs a week. We offer hybrid working; you would be willing to regularly report to either our Maidstone or Midsomer Norton offices, with an expectation for site and client visits as part of this role.

  • Visit sites to undertake tender surveys
  • Liase with clients, suppliers and the project delivery team to develop suitable solutions
  • Produce accurate quotations including:
    • Production of GA drawings
    • Identification of risk
    • Alternative design proposals and value engineering options
  • Assess contract terms and conditions and identify areas of concern to the commercial team.
  • Provide detailed handovers to the project delivery team.

Essential

  • Experience in an engineering/manufacturing/fabrication/production sector
  • Experience of working from client specifications
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Methodical with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong IT skills with experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

Desirable

  • Experience within the water industry
