We are seeking an experienced and driven EICA Site Survey Engineers to support the successful delivery of electrical projects within the water industry. This is a pivotal role acting as the link between site, design, and project management teams — ensuring that designs are accurate, compliant, and fully informed by site conditions before progressing to construction.

The Role
- Contracted to 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday.
- 1 x Role is Able to work from one of our regional offices with regular visits to our Midsomer Norton Headquarters.
- 1 x Role is Able to work from one of our regional offices with regular visits to our Maidstone office.
As a EICA Site Survey Engineer you will:
- Obtain and review existing electrical designs, layouts, and missing site information to support the design team.
- Review and approve electrical designs in accordance with Bridges and client standards.
- Carry out or organise site surveys to gather required information for design completion.
- Provide site-based feedback, reports, and findings to design teams and PM/PE.
- Identify and manage Risks, Opportunities, Issues, and Assumptions throughout the design phase.
- Act as liaison between PM/PE and design teams for specified projects.
- Locally manage design activities on behalf of the PM/PE, ensuring:
- Deliverables are completed on time, to budget, and to specification.
- RFIs are raised and responses managed effectively.
- Blockers are identified and resolved promptly.
- Take ownership of site design queries and coordinate resolution with relevant departments.
- Assist in resolving design errors, omissions, or additional works.
- Support PM/PE in confirming all installation requirements have been considered.
- Develop pre-construction works information documents.
- Attend internal and client design review meetings.
- Liaise directly with clients to gather requirements and assist in developing specifications and solutions.
- Support development of Off-Site Build solutions to maximise site efficiency.
- Keep workload planner fully updated with agreed timescales and deliverables.
- Manage your own workload to ensure all responsibilities are covered.

- Take responsibility for the Health & Safety of yourself and those under your control.
- Actively promote and follow the STAR dynamic risk assessment process.
- Be empowered to stop work if unsafe circumstances arise.
- Report positive interventions, accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Proactively minimise environmental impact and implement control measures.
- Ensure correct use of PPE in line with company policy.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in accordance with company procedures.

Requirements
Essential:- Qualified Electrician or Technician.
- Inspection & Testing qualification.
- EUSR.
- Confined Space certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Emergency First Aid at Work / First Aider.
- Extensive knowledge and experience within the water industry.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of electrical control systems within the water sector.
- Experience managing people and coordinating teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel to sites as required.
- Strong understanding of installation best practices and industry standards.
- COMPEX (desirable).
