Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.
Role Purpose
This role will involve working as a team of electricians on a number of industrial and water industry programmes of work. Work will be completed in and around the South West London and Surrey / surrounding regions for SES Water.
The Role
- Permanent role, contracted to 40hrs per week on site hours, Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid.
- You will be paid your travel time door to door, on top of your contracted and overtime hours.
- To be responsible for completing electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to.
- Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans.
- To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise.
- To coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.
- Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients.
- Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst their peers.
- To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation.
Requirements
- ECS gold card (essential).
- Experience within water / construction industry.
- Industrial and/or panel wiring experience (desirable).
- Able to manage own and others workload with minimal assistance from Project Managers in delivering safe profitable projects.
- Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification.
- Fitness to work medical.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- EUSR Water Hygiene.
- Inspection and testing certificate.
- PASMA / IPAF / Confined space.
- COMPEX.
