We are currently recruiting a Proposals Engineer whose main purpose will be to review tender documentation including drawings, schedules and specifications to prepare estimates in line with client requirements. The role is based from our Swansea office or Midsomer Norton office.

This is a full‑time opportunity working Monday‑Friday, 40 hrs a week. We offer hybrid working – you would be required to report to either our Maidstone or Midsomer Norton offices, with an expectation for site and client visits as part of this role.

  • Visit sites to undertake tender surveys
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and the project delivery team to develop suitable solutions
  • Produce accurate quotations including production of GA drawings, identification of risk, alternative design proposals and value engineering options, assess contract terms and conditions and identify areas of concern to the commercial team, and provide detailed handovers to the project delivery team

Essential

  • Experience in an engineering/manufacturing/fabrication/production sector
  • Experience of working from client specifications
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Methodical with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

Desirable

  • Experience within the water industry
