The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work on our Southern Water Framework, from enquiry through to asset integration sign off. With a hybrid working model, from the Hampshire region with a mixture of office working, along with travel for project reviews and visit client sites regularly.

Across our key sectors – Water, Power, Energy and Aggregates, and supported through our regional office network, we deliver diverse and interesting projects and programmes throughout UK infrastructure. Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

As a Project Manager at Bridges, you will oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects from inception to completion. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Your leadership will be pivotal in coordinating resources, managing timelines, and navigating challenges to achieve outstanding results.

The Role

  • Contracted to 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Management of staff and subcontractors working on assigned projects.
  • Taking responsibility for the health & safety of self and all under your control, completion of RAMS.
  • Creation and management of the appropriate Project Documentation and control of project expenditure within a monthly project reporting structure.
  • Close liaison and management of the Client and other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Proactively manage the impact on and protection of the environment.

Essential

  • CDM Awareness (ideally SSSTS or SMSTS).
  • CSCS card.
  • Industry Based qualifications (NVQ/C&G).
  • Driving licence.
  • Industrial engineering experience – ie water industry, MEICA, civils.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of projects.
  • Experience in managing CDM sites and working on CDM sites.
  • Capable of effectively managing more than one project at any one time, depending on complexity.
  • Capable of effectively managing teams, including employees and subcontractors.
  • Understanding of project governance procedures and commercial aspects of projects.
  • Sound knowledge of H&S legislation and regulations.

Desirable

  • HNC / HND level qualifications.
  • Site experience is essential, currently or previously in a supervisory site role or Project engineer role.
  • Southern Water Experience is desirable but not essential.
