Bridges is looking for qualified electrical engineers.
We have been supporting the water industry with electrical compliance and safety. We are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a JIB gold card, C&G 2391 or equivalent, and a valid driving license. As this is a client-facing role, excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

The Role
As a fixed electrical testing electrician, you will specialize in inspecting, testing, fault diagnosis, and rectification work.
You will work within our fixed electrical testing team, traveling to client sites across the Thames Water region, primarily in the Thames Valley area. Your duties will include fault diagnosis and rectification, as well as producing electrical condition reports.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Rectifying reported electrical defects
- Fault diagnosis on various equipment following inspection and testing
- Proposing solutions, repairs, and workarounds
- Ordering materials and coordinating with procurement to ensure availability
- Maintaining high workmanship standards and ensuring first-time quality
- Inspecting industrial installations for safety and compliance
- Checking electrical systems for damage, wear, or deterioration
- Producing detailed defect reports
This role is contracted for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hourly pay and overtime. It is field-based, with travel time paid door-to-door, and a company van provided.
Requirements
· ECS gold card (essential)
· City and Guilds 2391 (or equivalent)
· NVQ Level 3 electrical installation (or equivalent)
· Good IT skills
· Full UK driving license
· Experience with industrial electrical installations
Desirable
· PASMA / IPAF
· City and Guilds 2377
· Industrial and/or panel wiring experience
