Job Description
37 hours per week
GBP41,124 – GBP49,711 per annum (includes a GBP5,000 market supplement). Starting point will be determined in line with Progression Framework. A relocation package up to GBP8,000 will be considered for this post.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker to join the Information, Advice & Assistance (IAA) Team within the MASH (Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub). The role involves working closely with partner agencies such as South Wales Police and Health to support families in line with the Social Services & Well-Being (Wales) Act 2014, and safeguarding vulnerable children.
Applications are encouraged from both experienced Social Workers and newly qualified candidates. You will receive a robust induction, regular supervision, additional support, and mentoring where needed. Our practice model of Signs of Safety is fully implemented within our IAA Service, and training and support in this model will be provided.

Protecting children, young people, or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced DBS check with Children\’s Barred List, a vetting check by South Wales Police, and a valid driving licence are required for this post.
The council\’s Hybrid Working Policy applies, allowing flexible working hours between home and the office.
