Overview

Deputy Team Manager – Edge of Care Services (Temporary) — 37 hours per week. Temporary position until 31 March 2028. Edge of Care are committed to developing innovative, evidence-based services that work effectively with families experiencing multiple and complex challenges, often linked to social exclusion and high dependency on public services.

Within this evolving landscape, this role joins our co-located, multi-agency child and family services as a Deputy Team Manager within the Edge of Care Service. We seek a motivated and skilled practitioner with a \\\’can do\\\’ approach, who is passionate about improving outcomes for families and committed to the delivery and development of evidence-based interventions.

This is a key leadership role with operational focus on the Exploitation and Adolescence element of the service, providing leadership, supervision and oversight of specialist staff working with young people at risk of or affected by exploitation, extra-familial harm and complex adolescent safeguarding issues. You will also lead on the design and delivery of evidence-based interventions across the service and directorate, ensuring the service remains innovative, trauma-informed, and family-centred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, supervision and oversight of specialist staff working with young people at risk of or affected by exploitation and related safeguarding issues.
  • Lead on the design and delivery of evidence-based interventions across the Edge of Care Service and directorate.
  • Promote trauma-informed, relationship-based, strengths-focused practice and support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members to improve outcomes for families on the edge of care or within intensive family intervention services.
  • Collaborate within a co-located, multi-agency environment to deliver integrated services.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience of working with families on the edge of care or within intensive family intervention services.
  • Strong leadership and practitioner skills, with ability to coach, mentor and support others.
  • Commitment to relationship-based, trauma-informed, strengths-focused practice.
  • Willingness to develop leadership, coaching, and strategic skills while remaining connected to direct practice.
  • Ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
  • Enhanced DBS check with CCategory safeguarding (DBS) is required.
  • Weekend working is a requirement of this post.
