Overview
Cleaner Streets Wet Van Driver — 37 hours per week. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is experienced in Cleaner Streets operations and qualified to drive and operate the Cleaner Streets Wet Van Service. This role includes cleansing bus stops and removing graffiti. Regular cleaning schedules will be interspersed with response to emergencies, support for winter maintenance and removing spillages from road traffic accidents.
It is necessary to work in a flexible manner, to cater for the needs of the service at any particular time. This post will require some weekend work when necessary.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
Responsibilities
- Cleanses bus stops and removes graffiti as part of Cleaner Streets operations.
- Follows regular cleaning schedules and responds to emergencies as required.
- Provides support for winter maintenance and removal of spillages from road traffic accidents.
- Works in a flexible manner to meet service needs, including occasional weekend work.
Requirements / Qualifications
- A valid driving licence is a requirement for this post.
- A Health Surveillance assessment through our Occupational Health Service is a requirement for this post.
- Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
