Responsibilities:

The Team Manager, Care Experienced Children Team will lead and manage the team responsible for Looked After and Accommodated Children up to the age of 15. You will consult with Looked After Children in relation to the design of the support service provision, as well as work with managers/officers across the authority to implement strategies and projects relating to Looked After Children. All new staff will be provided with a suite of training that will support them to develop their practice in line with the principles of the ‘Signs of Safety’ social work model launched in 2023. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

Qualifications:

  • The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
  • An Enhanced Children and Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.

Working arrangements:

The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
