Fixed Term up to 12 months
We are looking for a qualified social worker for a full‑time position at HMP Parc, a Category B men's prison. The role is open for a 12‑month contract.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning and delivering the social care needs to complex patients with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.
- Providing assessments and reviews for residents in receipt of care and support.
- Attending multi‑agency meetings and contributing to multi‑professional working.
- Maintaining accurate record‑keeping and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Successful completion of G4S/HMPPS vetting.
- Enhanced with Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
- Ability to communicate in Welsh.
- A valid driving licence.
- Experience working within a prison or secure setting is desirable.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
