An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced person to lead the ALN Statutory Team within the Education, Early Years and Young People Directorate, Inclusion Group due to the retirement of the current post holder.
The ALN Statutory Team undertake a range of duties to support the implementation of the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to lead and line manage a small team of Statutory Team Officers.
This is an exciting time to join the service at a time when the service is developing a range of new systems and processes to support the implementation of the ALN Act. A key development for the team will be to implement and monitor an online system for monitoring and developing individual development plans (IDP).

This is a great opportunity to undertake a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the ALN Reform.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced with Children's Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post. The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post.
