We are looking to recruit a conscientious and enthusiastic individual to join our Revenues Team within the Chief Executives directorate. An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and organised individual, to be part of the Revenues Team, who is committed to maximising the collection of Council Tax and National Non-Domestic Rates whilst continually improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the service provided to our customers.
Your key duties will be to undertake all aspects of Council Tax and National Non-Domestic Rates administration and recovery work. The work requires a high level of commitment and enthusiasm with accuracy, good organisational skills and attention to detail. You will have good communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative and have good IT skills.
Currently there is a requirement to come into the office to work at least one day per week, with the remaining days working from home, so the ability to homework is essential. The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. A Basic criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) together with a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check is a requirement for this post. The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
