Have you got a degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Geography or Town Planning? Do you want to play a significant role in the future growth and development of the County Borough? Do you want to make a real difference to people's lives, how they travel and access services? Are you motivated and up to the challenge of helping to decarbonise local transport systems?
The successful applicant will work closely with the Council's Planning, Highways and Transport teams and a wide range of other stakeholders and external bodies to develop and deliver transport policy, projects and sustainable transport initiatives.
This role will be expected to have a particular focus on the Authority's Active Travel capital programme in accordance with the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 as well as providing transport policy input to the Local Transport Plan (LTP).
As part of our commitment to an integrated approach to transportation and land-use planning, we will also provide you with the opportunity to work on strategic planning projects.
