Bridgend County Borough Council’s ICT Department is committed to providing a customer led information technology service. Our aim is to adopt continuous service improvement in all its activities, by concentrating on meeting the business needs of its customers by investing in technology, training, and development of staff.

Working under the guidance of the ICT Support Team Leader, you will be based at primary schools across the County Borough of Bridgend and you will need to be able to use your initiative and judgement to provide effective solutions to headteachers, teachers, and school support staff.

You will join a team of seven ICT engineers providing hardware and software support on desktop systems, as well as being able to use tools to centrally manage mobile devices, such as laptops, chrome or Apple devices. Network and server experience would be advantageous, but not mandatory, as you will also be supported by the corporate ICT data and networking specialists.

Good teamwork and communication skills are desirable as is some knowledge of the Welsh Government Hwb project.

You will possess a relevant ICT qualification or the ability to demonstrate competence through ICT support experience. A full driving licence is essential for this post.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
