We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Governance and Compliance Officer to support the work of the Strategic Regeneration Group. The group sits within the Communities Directorate of Bridgend County Borough Council and is made up of 3 teams - Regeneration Projects, Conservation and Design and Regeneration Funding and Regional Engagement.
The post will report directly to the Team Leader Regeneration Funding and Regional Engagement but work across all 3 teams, providing an opportunity for the right candidate to play an important role in supporting the leadership team deliver a diverse portfolio of strategic projects.
Working within this key role, you will ensure that our delivery complies with major external funders, including UK Government and Welsh Government regulations. You will take the lead on developing, establishing and administering Bridgend’s governance, financial, performance and quality control systems and be responsible for co-ordinating a partnership approach to the work of the Strategic Regeneration Group by managing project and programme boards across the service.
You will also support our projects’ procurement and contract management. You will bring experience of working across multiple projects within set deadlines, and offer a proactive, flexible and solution focused attitude.
