Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a motivated individual who has a passion for ensuring vulnerable learners' educational needs are being met. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of a team that promotes the needs of vulnerable learners in accessing good quality education that meets their needs.
Your experience in education, social care or the voluntary sector will allow you to work closely with a variety of staff across education and social care to improve outcomes for those children in identified vulnerable groups. This group of learners includes but is not exclusive to those who have elected to be home educated, children who are supported by the Youth Justice Service, children with English as an additional language, Gypsy Traveller Families, children who are looked after and children who risk exclusion or are deemed to be at risk of significant harm.
You will work with Education Engagement Team Coordinators and education welfare officers to support families who choose to electively home educate, attend meetings and conferences to share feedback on behalf of education, as well as supporting visits and events for our electively home educated children and young people.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. An Enhanced with Children's Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
