Are you a team player with highly developed inter-personal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative? Do you like a challenge and variety? At Bridgend County Borough Council, we are transforming the way we manage our property estate. We manage a diverse property portfolio, from schools to industrial estates, from care homes to market stalls. We operate a Corporate Landlord approach, bringing together the management that leads our strategic property management, design and hard/soft Facilities Management teams.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Plumber to join the construction team in providing a wide-ranging service across the Council's property portfolio. The successful candidate will undertake testing, installation and repair of existing facilities, embracing new decarbonisation technologies as the team develops new skills to help the Council reduce its carbon footprint.

Working to a Supervisor within a small plumbing team responsible for undertaking works in accordance with current regulations/procedures, you will ensure that services remain compliant and safe.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced with Children's Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post. A valid driving licence is a requirement for this post. A Health Surveillance assessment through our Occupational Health Service is a requirement for this post.
