Sunny Bank is a trauma informed children’s residential setting, providing a stable homely environment for four children and young people from the age of 8 years to 18 years. This role is to provide high quality administrative assistance, including day to day clerical reconciliations, admin tasks, and financial duties involving internal financial systems. You will be required to be part of the staff team and assist the manager in operating an effective and efficient service.

The responsibilities within the role include:

  • Providing day to day clerical support
  • Maintaining and updating electronic files
  • Administering the petty cash system and preparing monthly reimbursement claims (training will be provided)
  • Using Excel to manage databases
  • Undertaking general clerical duties such as answering telephone calls, photocopying, checking and ordering supplies, and attending staff meetings to complete the minutes
  • Processing invoices for payment on the BCBC online system (full training is provided for all our online systems)

The role offers flexible working hours, superannuation pension, and annual leave. Applicants are required to meet some of the attributes within the job specification:

  • A good standard of education equivalent to QCF (NVQ) Level 2 or the ability to demonstrate competence through experience
  • Experience working within an office environment is essential
  • Experience of implementing administration practices and procedures
  • The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post

Protecting children, young people, or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced Children and Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
