Bridgend Early Help are looking for a confident and motivated Deputy Team Manager to play a key role in driving forward our vision for early intervention and prevention. This is an exciting opportunity to support the operational leadership of our Early Help service, working alongside the Service Manager and Senior Early Help Workers to deliver high-quality, impactful support to families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational support across Early Help teams
  • Offer guidance, oversight and reflective support to practitioners
  • Contribute to the development of a strong, consistent practice model
  • Support effective decision-making, including screening and allocation processes
  • Drive performance, quality and positive outcomes for children and families
  • Help embed a culture of collaboration across Early Help and safeguarding services

This role is central to ensuring our service remains responsive, strengths-based and focused on achieving meaningful change. You will be a proactive problem-solver, able to balance operational demands while maintaining a clear focus on outcomes.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post. The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post.
