We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Coaches to support the delivery of exciting community programmes across Bridgend County Borough. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in sport, coaching and community wellbeing while making a real difference to children, young people and families.

Activities you will support:

  • Active 4 Life school holiday programmes
  • Activities for children and young people with disabilities
  • Young Carers wellbeing activities
  • Community sport and physical activity sessions

Working alongside experienced coaches and staff, you will help create safe, welcoming and enjoyable environments where every participant feels valued and supported during sport and physical activity sessions.

The Role:

  • Support delivery of sport and wellbeing activities
  • Help create inclusive and positive sessions
  • Assist with setting up equipment and activities
  • Support children and young people with a range of needs
  • Maintain safe, welcoming environments
  • Record basic participation information

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Enthusiastic and reliable
  • Passionate about working with children and young people
  • Interested in sport, wellbeing or community activity
  • Able to work as part of a team

Previous coaching or activity experience is desirable. A UKCC Level 1 qualification (or equivalent) would be an advantage.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
